What symptoms would justify getting an EoE test?

What symptoms would justify getting an EoE test?

Allergist Sonali Majmudar, MD: Some of the signs for testing for EOE include difficulty swallowing, drinking lots of water, or fluids to push the food down when you’re eating, chewing really slowly, the feeling that food is stuck in your throat. You might be sometimes the last one at the table when everybody is done with their meals because you’re eating really slowly. Those are some of the signs for eosinophilic esophagitis or EoE.

When you have the condition of EoE, there could be underlying type 2 inflammation, which includes diseases such as asthma, eczema, nasal allergies. If you have any of these symptoms, please go get checked out with your allergist.
